SWINGING THE ALPHABET!
Believe it or not, we’ve even got an “educational” Three Stooges clip
today! Will wonders never cease?
Certainly our favorite song that the Stooges ever did, and probably
the ONLY remotely “educational” moment in any of their films, is this charming
rendition of the “Alphabet Song”. This comes from one of their shorts directed
by the one and only Charley Chase, who usually incorporated at least one
bouncy, light tune into his own two reeler comedies. Combine director Chase
and the Stooges, and for these two minutes, you got some movie magic. It’s
a catchy tune, and it really does help kids learn how to pair consonants
and vowels.
WHO'S ON FIRST?
Here’s the great comedy team of Abbott and Costello performing their
classic summertime “Who’s on first?”
baseball sketch in their 1945 film “The Naughty Nineties”. Okay kids,
see if you can follow this! Classic Americana comedy!
Thor Ramsey on "Homeschool"
